wanted to take close up photos of things that inspired me and that I thought
would photograph well zoomed in. For this project I looked for textural things
such as walls and rusted objects. I went to Fontanelle Cemetery; this was the
ideal place to get detailed shots. I took photographs of the skulls and bones
from the cemetery as the natural lighting created an effective contrast and
shadows. My favourite detail photograph is of some padlocks on a metal fence
along the coastline. I like this because I decided to change the aperture and
blur out the sea and castle in the background, making the yellow fencing the
subject which I feel creates a unique image and is effective.
